Our Story

From our humble beginnings as a family-owned business, Brant Office Supply, we grew and joined forces with independent dealers across Canada to form the Basics network in 1976. With the buying power of 65 independent stores, this network is the second-largest distributor of office supplies in Canada. Fifty years later, we continue the family tradition as a cutting-edge partner for all your office needs. Jeff, David and Susan lead the operation of Brant Basics’ 25,000 square foot head office at 296 George St. North in downtown Peterborough.
